'Recyclability of Finished Packaging' Web Seminar
The importance of sustainability and sustainable production has continued to grow in almost all areas and industries in recent years. In our web seminar 'How KURZ hot and cold stamping products optimize the recyclability of your packaging', KURZ recycling expert Dr. Markus von Beyer, shares with you how decorated packaging can be recycled. He will face sustainable questions like: What actually remains on the product after hot stamping? Or after finishing with cold transfer? And does this affect the recycling process? Let's start and learn more about your sustainable design possibilities together.
KURZ Becomes an INGEDE Partner
Sustainability is in vogue. But unlike many others, KURZ can look back on decades of environmental advocacy. And our new partnership with INGEDE furthermore emphasizes that we do not resort to half measures. We are teaming up to advance the recycling of cardboard and paper products. Our hot- and cold-transfer finishing for the graphics industry paves the way: it is easily washed out in the deinking process, and does not affect the paper recycling stream.

KURZ in the Fast Lane: Red Dot Award 2020
KURZ and the automotive industry have much more in common than just shared projects. We also share the same philosophy as our long-term partners: A passion and a vision for the mobility of the future. The jury of the Red Dot Awards 2020 confirmed that this is a successful path. It honored our trendsetting instrument panel with its exclusive HMI concept in the Automotive Interior category. Award-winning packaging design: Red Dot Design Award 2019
That KURZ is one of the world's leading experts in surface finishing has now been confirmed by the jury of the Red Dot Design Awards 2019: Our KURZ 'Box in Box' Edition 4 took the top spot in the Packaging Design category of these internationally renowned awards. The sample collection contains examples of innovative packaging decoration with newly developed color trends, elegant textures, and gloss effects.
Certified composting of plastic
A future without sustainability is unthinkable for Leonhard Kurz. DIN CERTCO certifies our striving for clean disposal and has certified our LUXOR® MTS 220 hot stamping foil according to DIN EN 13432. With this foil, recyclable papers and cardboard that have been decorated with our surface finish can easily be composted and returned to the natural cycle.
KURZ introduces foil metallization solutions for HP Indigo digital printing
The KURZ DM-Jetliner®,
a digital pre-print foil unit integrated with the HP Indigo 6900 Digital Press and additional narrow-web models,
simplifies the production of high-value labels with metallic effects in one pass,
on a wide range of substrates,
all at full press speed.
For commercial printing, a new version of the DM-Luxliner can be used off-line for HP Indigo B2 sheet-fed presses including the HP Indigo 12000 HD, HP Indigo 12000 and HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press.
